Richard Porter
Sr. Vice Commander - Air Force

Richard Porter, served as a Master Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force from 2002-2022. His service included a deployment to Afghanistan in 2007, where he earned the Air Force Achievement Medal and a deployment to Djibouti from 2019-2020 where he earned a Joint Service Commendation Medal. He has held numerous positions within the Air Force and Joint Service, including at the Pentagon for the Office of the Secretary of Defense and the Air Staff. 

Richard currently works as a management analyst for the State of Maine and enjoys the quiet life of spending time with his family.

Richard was elected Senior Vice Commander for the Whitcomb-Baker Post 4633 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the U.S on June 4, 2025, in Hampden, Maine and is also the Junior Vice Commander for District 4.
